You're always looking for signs of previous form in these types of race, especially in the most recent runs. All the better if this is supported by a trainer or better yet a jockey with a strong record at this course. The challenge is when there are form horses that are competing against strong jockeys. Then it's a tough call and both the form horse and the strong jockey have a shot. However, at this time of year if the form horse is carrying more weight, I'd slightly favour the jockey.
